Family Enrichment Center

The Family Enrichment Center at YCC is committed to strengthening individuals and families. Classes, counseling, and services are provided to assist families in becoming self-sufficient. Classes are offered for adults and children.

Self-Esteem and Alternatives to Violence (Ages 7-12)

Classes are held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. These classes help youth learn behaviors and attitudes that are alternatives to violence.

Curriculum includes:

  • Self-Esteem
  • Stress Management
  • Communication and Listening
  • Respect
  • Personal Power

Helping Hands (Ages 3-6)

Classes are held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Children learn to appropriately express feelings and accept themselves and others.

Curriculum includes:

  • Gratitude
  • Kindness
  • Empathy
  • Friendship
  • How to Express Emotions

The YCC offers opportunties for court or DWS ordered community service. Hours available for completing community service are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Please contact Debbie Marshall at 801-689-1718 or Zen Uriarte at 801-689-1740 for more information or to set up a schedule.
